I pulled up Wednesday morning to a crossroads I've taken for YEARS.
Looked Left... No cars
Looked Right... No cars
Assuming it was safe, I pulled out to make my turn, and BAM... I got my happy ass hit by a truck.
It plowed into the driver's side of my front end. My front end is now hamburger. It's amazing how your mind suddenly shuts completely off during a traumatic incident. I can remember spinning out, but it's like time completely stops.. When we timed back in, I had come to a stop, and was sitting in the driver's seat, trying to catch my breath.
You want to talk about fucking scary...
Thankfully, no one was badly hurt on either side. Car's totaled, but I managed to walk away with a bruised knee, slightly scratched face, and really really sore. It did however earn me a ride in an ambulance to get that leg x-rayed.
That'll take ten years off your life. Seriously.
I think I can safely say I will never consider a career as a human pinball.
